Breaking sports barriers in the windy city

Finding a place on the football field has always been a battle for women, but two Chicago coaches are tackling gender barriers one touchdown at a time. Last month, Jouscelyn Mayfield and Konesha Rhea became the first Black female high school boy’s varsity head football coaches in the nation to face off against each other in a game. Two friends turned competitors, sharing a goal to inspire players in the game and the classroom.
