CloseTwo kodiak bear cubs were seen wandering in Florida, more than 3,600 miles (5,800 km) from their usual habitat in Alaska.
The species is related to the brown bear and the grizzly bear.
On December 5, a deputy from the Okaloosa Sheriff’s Office was called out, and arrived at the scene to find the bears "very curious" and likely "domesticated".
An investigation found that they had escaped a nearby enclosure run by a "self-proclaimed bear trainer".
