*1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto 1750 Spider Veloce*There are few sports car manufacturers more famous than Alfa Romeo and there are few Alfa Romeos more famous than the Duetto Spider Veloce. This 1969 example has been carefully upgraded over the years to turn it into a car that is better to look at and even more exciting to drive than the original. The Alfa Spider has gone through numerous design variations through the years but the boat tailed Duetto like this example is widely regarded as the best overall design and is highly sought after today. With the subtle, tapering lines and enclosed headlights, it is 1960s design at its purest, yet with this example coming from the final year of production, it also features the more powerful 1750cc inline-4 which provides plenty of motivation to make for a thrilling drive. Originally sold in Frankfurt, Germany, this car has undergone a comprehensive restoration as well as an engine rebuild in 2011 and while under the care of the most recent owner, the car has received plenty of sorting to make it more dependable. The car has been repainted in its original shade of red and plenty of care was taken in the bodywork to make sure panel fitment is of the highest quality. One modification to this car that immediately draws the eye are a set of 14-Inch Alfaholics GTA Strada Alloy Wheels. These modern recreations of one of Alfa's most famous wheels fill out the arches perfectly and give the car a much sportier look than the original steel wheels with hubcaps. To enhance that look, the suspension has been overhauled with KYB Shocks and a set of stiffer Centerline International Performance springs for better handling and a lower ride height. When you open the Alfa's hood, the jewel like twin-cam inline-4 that Alfa is famous for is sitting there looking nearly new. The black cam covers are accented by a set of red performance spark plug leads and dual Webber side draft carburetors complete the look and make the car sound outstanding. For many classic Alfa Romeo fans, the 1750 is considered to be the best engine for this series of cars-easily powerful enough to keep up with modern traffic yet far more lively and exciting to rev than the 2000 variant that came a few years later. The interior of the Duetto Spider is simple while still being elegant and having some notable bits of Italian charm. The black vinyl sport seats present nicely and give the occupants enough support for spirited driving while still being comfortable around town. A classic looking Nardi steering wheel has been added and frames the Jaeger instrumentation in front of the driver perfectly. The three auxiliary gauges along the dashboard are all angled towards the driver for more of a cockpit feel and the prominently placed Pinnfarina badge evokes memories of many of the most beautiful vehicles to ever come out of Italy. With the weather getting nicer and a beautiful summer ahead, a convertible sports car is an appealing proposition. There are few more desirable sports cars than an Alfa Romeo Duetto Spider Veloce and thanks to a series of caring owners, this example is ready for years of top down driving to come.Watch a walkaround video here...*Additional Information* * Binder of Service Receipts * Alfa Romeo Certificate of Origin * Reproduction Owners Manual * Original Jack and Spare Tire * Specialty Tool Kit*Standard Features* * Dual Overhead Camshaft Inline-4 * 5-Speed Manual * Four Wheel Disc Brakes * Independent Suspension Front and Rear * Fabric Soft Top * Full Instrumentation * Jaeger Instrumentation * Vinyl UpholsteryFor more information on this 1969 Alfa Romeo Duetto 1750 Spider Veloce or any of our 100+ High-Performance, Exotic and Special Interest cars always in stock, contact one of our friendly and knowledgeable sales consultants or always feel free to drop by our 40,000+ sq ft of Indoor Showrooms in Bellevue, WA - Home of an Exciting Inventory of Luxury, Exotic, High Performance and Collectible Automobiles.
