(File image)The Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar (IITGN) today appointed Prof Rajat Moona as the new director of the varsity. Professor Moona is expected to take his new office within a couple of weeks. His appointment has been approved by the President of India in her capacity as the Visitor of IITGN.
As of now, Professor Moona has been heading IIT Bhilai as Director for more than five years, prior to which he served as Director General of the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC). In addition to his leadership roles, Professor Moona has also been serving as a faculty of Computer Science and Engineering at IIT Kanpur since 1991.
